About our Club
Founded in 1953, our club - like all other Rotary clubs - is an independent member organization under the International umbrella.  Our members express their “Service Above Self” (the Rotary motto) in one of four areas: International Service, Community Service, Vocational Service, or Club Service.  We are known as the foremost service club in Great Neck, this in recognition of the extensive range of our activities, from our own community to the other side of the globe.

We meet over breakfast every week. There are officers and a board of directors - elected every year - and those monthly meetings are open to all members.

And we set aside time for fun too!  Our members go to the Opera and Broadway Shows, and we have the occasional dinner party and a picnic with a softball game when the weather permits.

Our Members
Most of our members live or work in Great Neck or a surrounding community, and a few travel some distance.  We are - on average - between 30 and 80 years old, and represent a wide variety of professions.  What we have in common is the desire to provide “Service Above Self” and recognize that it is a privilege to be a member.

The membership process begins with your first visit to one of our meetings.  If you like it enough to come back two more times, we will ask you to stay and review your opportunities & responsibilities, and enumerate what the annual fees are.
